Statement of Purpose

The Playgroup will offer equality of opportunity to all children. Facilities cater for all children regardless of ability, ethnic origin, gender or cultural background, class or language. We seek to counteract all forms of discrimination in our daily work with parents and children.

  • We will encourage children to explore and learn through play ensuring that the children in our care receive equal opportunities to do so.
  • We believe, children have the right to be valued, respected and cared for in an environment where their welfare is of paramount importance.
  • We will maintain close links between staff and parents ensuring both parties work together so that each child achieves their full potential in all areas of their development.
  • Staff are totally dedicated to promoting these aims and constant evaluation of our provision ensures this. All staff are motivated, experienced and committed to responding to individual needs with understanding, affection and experience.
  • The staff will provide the best possible care for children from the age of 2 ½ years until they start school, by forming close relationships with both children and parents, we will provide each child with the security, stability and continuity of care they need in the early years.

  • Staff will promote healthy eating and ensure that all children have ample opportunities to use rest areas when tired.
